Storyline: The 1950s. Manhattan lavatory dependant, Tom Ripley, borrows a Princeton jerkin to play piano at a garden individual. When the wealthy father of a modern Princeton grad chats Tom up, Tom pretends to understand the son and is soon offered $1,000 to spree to Italy to convince Dickie Greenleaf to go home. In Italy, Tom attaches himself to Dickie and to Marge, Dickie's cultured fianc&ee, pretending to be pleased with jazz and harboring homoerotic hopes considered in the state of he soaks in luxury. Besides falsehood, Tom's talents include impressions and forgery, so when the handsome and positive Dickie tires of Tom, dismissing him while a bore, Tom goes to acme lengths to make Greenleaf's privileges his have.
